Here is an interesting video clip from Educause about the possible look and feel of education in the year 2020!

Technology and it’s impact on teaching and learning is an integral component. The video provides an interesting historical view as well. Indicating that Joliet Junior College was the very first community college.

Anyway, I think it is an interesting view of one possible direction for teaching as it relates to technology. The big players: Google, Microsoft, Blackboard, MIT, Gaming, Open Learning Objects, Disney, Edutainment, Sony, Artificial Instructors…

In 2020, education access to higher ed is universal, quality is high, cost is low, there are no distance or financial barriers, learning outcomes are assessed consistently, there is no tax payer waste, course credits are interchangeable, and so on…

I took note since the video fictitiously described Microsoft purchasing Blackboard.
